Feel the ground shake as heavy knights on horseback clash in the great tournament, where courage, strength and precision are put to the test with lances.
Don’t miss the great Viking and medieval battles, where warriors in authentic armour show everything from army manoeuvres to one-on-one duels.
Throughout the day you’ll meet jugglers whose tricks and quirky antics make children and adults alike laugh. As darkness begins to fall, you can often catch a fire show.
Drums and stringed instruments create the soundscape that connects past and present as you wander between the stalls.
For the little ones (and brave adults) there are plenty of chances to join in.
Try bow and arrow on the shooting range, learn to swing a sword in Viking training, or explore the many working workshops. Watch the blacksmith hammer hot iron, the potter shape clay, and see how clothes and tools were made.
